Occupational Health Technician

Carl Turner

What is your role at ROHS, and what does it involve?

I am an Occupational Health Technician, conducting fitness to work medicals, audiology (hearing) tests, spirometry (lung function) tests, vision checks, HAVS assessments and skin assessments on a day-to-day basis. I also listen to employees and their employers in a calm and professional manner.

What do you enjoy most about working at ROHS?

I enjoy my role within ROHS on so many levels — helping people every day and advising them on lifestyle and fitness.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work I love to keep fit — running, swimming and weight training. Climbing mountains is something I took up after Covid and I’ve tested myself numerous times, as before this I was petrified of heights. I also help coach my son’s football team at weekends.

Tell us one fun or interesting fact about yourself.

A fun fact is that I love to play the guitar, which I have done for the past 30 years.
